Ahh, another blog on the web…well, let’s see — that makes my blog the 125,472,523th to fill the pages of Google, Yahoo, ASK.com, and any other mid-90s search engine that comes to mind… The truth is that it has taken me over 6 months to even propose starting this blog. What would I call it? What would it be about? Why would anyone even care to read what I have to say? All questions that came to mind before I launched into the vast world of blogging.
Recently I moved to Boulder. Why would I move from St. Louis to Boulder? I won’t elaborate today, but the point is that I have already met a number of interesting entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, hippies, and more hippies. These folks gave me the final inspiration to start The Creative Connector Blog.
David, why did you call it the Creative Connector?
Good question. I find myself constantly reading the pages of newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs and books. I’m always scouring for new information that might be useful for my businesses and almost as important, information that might be useful for other businesses (owned by my friends, relatives, connections, etc.). With this being the case, I think others (I’m talking about those I haven’t yet met — might even be you) might find some of these resources and ideas helpful. For this reason, I want this blog to be about connecting creative ideas to those would find it useful.
In summary, I want to make you plainly aware that the topic I am most fascinated by is the power of connecting people, ideas, and products. To me, this could in fact be the most important tool for building a successful venture. Remember, it’s not what you know, but WHO you know.
